      Yeah, that’s true since the manhwa sticks really closely to the original novel. This BL isn’t just about romance—their careers actually play a big role in how their relationship develops, as well as in some later conflicts. But don’t worry, by chapter 64 of the novel, they’ve already got a smut scene 🤣

   This is a really good BL. It’s a slow burn, and yeah, it might feel a bit slow at first, but the way every detail is delivered is really subtle and thoughtful. The manhwa stays very close to the original novel, so even if some parts seem slow, it’s actually only been a few months in the story since they reunited.
   As for the swimming parts, I know some people feel like they’re a bit too detailed or focused, but that’s actually intentional. Speaking as someone who’s read both the novel and the manhwa, the story isn’t just about romance – the whole swimming career aspect plays a big role. It adds a lot to the emotional conflicts, their relationship development, and even the competition side of things. So it’s not just “about swimming” – those details do have meaning, and they help things make more sense later on.

   This BL has absolutely gorgeous art, and the characters all feel really well-developed and mature, even though it’s set in a fictional omegaverse world.

   Also, because of the novel’s setup, even though it’s omegaverse, they’ve developed implants to suppress heat cycles—kind of similar to birth control implants, so it feels a bit more grounded.

   MC is a calm, mature, and gentle man. He actually has dating experience and has been both top and bottom back in college, while ML is the one with basically no dating experience.

   And just to clear up something in case anyone’s worried—they didn’t date when ML was underage. They only knew each other back when ML was in his first year of high school and MC was 16. After that, they lost contact, and didn’t meet again until 10 years later—when ML is the one who starts pursuing him.

   It’s true that in the first 40 chapters there isn’t any actual smut, just a peck 😅

   But the story is actually tagged ‘uncensored’, and in the novel, the spicy scenes are quite frequent and pretty detailed. So it’s more like… we just need to be a little patient

   There’s a reason why the original novel won Daesang for Web Novel Award 2021 on that platform, after all. So it’s definitely worth a try
