We all know by now that it’s going to be rape, abuse and mental torture right up until the final chapters, and then suddenly, miraculously, the rapist will become nice enough (so to speak) for the MC to fall in love (perhaps through a pregnancy that brings them closer? 🙄) and for them to end up together. The day some BL stories stop promoting rape culture and domestic violence, we’ll all come out of it better for it. I’m also a fan of revenge story arcs, or even the death of the male leads (if we’re going to be immoral, I’d rather it be that way). “Off with their heads!”
