Igingogi has a lot of artistic elements in their story. In the most recent ones, it was the dialogue coming from pictures. But when Jingi was talking about the past, it was a flashback through a newspaper. My favourite was when he was dealing with her death and his grief was shown as him getting buried by snow.
The doors are just repetitions of the same single door, and showing how prolonged Jingi’s first instance of SA was. To him, it just kept going on and on and on and on. Or perhaps it really did last a long time. We’re meant to sit in that dread with him. I actually found it very poetic so I’m confused why so many others were confused by it. Either way, it really shows that if it gets across, implied abuse can be a lot more impactful than being graphic and gratuitous about it.
