Here’s my theory whole kinda a prick the friend really is just trying to look out for asel, he’s not talking him down he’s drawing a boundary between them because of the significant power dynamic, the way the director completely ghosted and fired asel, and the way asel keeps acting like he has done something wrong/is uncomfortable.
