Safe words are of vital importance here so both players know when “no” is part of the script (so to speak) or a genuine wish to stop. As long as both parties are consenting adults, and rules are laid out ahead of time*, it’s safe. It’s a way to add some adrenaline and show trust in your play partner, when done correctly.
*I hope we see them have a discussion before they jump into it, but because of the pacing and how webcomics usually role, we may not.
