Imma assume ML has been regressing at least once before irl and met MC too, but something happens that made their relationship unfulfilled. So MC hasn’t yet to guess, because he only understands that he’s regressed into the game but not which death ML is at. So ML is trying to speed up their relationship forcibly because MC is indeed hard to catch. Anyways MC hasn’t yet to realise this isn’t the game world, so of course it’s not gonna be the same as the game setting (both the characters and events).
