   It took me over a year before I could come back and finish reading the side stories. What the fuck. And I have to go to work after this??? I’m moaning from pain because this hurts so bad, but by God will this always be one of the best I’ve ever read. Seriously. A gritty, emotionally intelligent work of art about broken people fixing each other in a ruined world. I’ll never get over it, I’m still crying, this will always be amazing, no matter how ephemeral. I think its brevity works in its favor, actually. A 50 chapter story would’ve dragged, but here we see everything we need to know about their world, their trauma and relationship, with just enough hurt/comfort to tie up loose ends. These two have remained in the back of my mind since the first time I read this, and I’ll never forget them now. If you like angst and zombie apocalypse’s, read Deadman’s Switch, PLEASE!
