   This is one of those stories where the author sets up a premise (“The MC never sleeps with guides”) and then immediately undermines it by making the MC throw himself at the love interest at the first opportunity. It’s a case of failing to show, rather than tell. It would feel more earned if they’d had more interaction to establish a level of trust before testing that trust. Refreshingly, the love interest has some restraint, so that’s a nice change of pace from the way these thing usually go.

   It would feel less egregious if the author hadn’t made the MC’s initial attempt to seduce the love interest feel so premeditated (waiting for him in his office, sitting in his chair, naked with his feet propped up on the desk??).

   the premise isn’t that the mc never sleeps w guides??? the premise is that he’s dealing w both trauma from a past abusive relationship with a guide, and this history subsequently affects his interactions and perception of guides/the process of guiding now.

   some ppl are saying the story undermines/doesn’t place enough emphasis on MC’s aversion to guiding but MC and ML’s dynamic is quite literally a power imbalance bc MC gets backlash that renders him in physical need of guiding. this complex dynamic, how it intertwines w MC’s trauma, and even how it reinforces his self doubt ab the relationship + their feelings for each other is what the narrative is all abt bro😭media literacy guys Please. pls. r u all minors or what

   Man I love them so so so so SOOOOO MUCH. I’m so happy we can finally have a bl where the ml is the greenest of flags there is, I love him so fucking much. Same goes for mc, that dude went through literal HELL and it’s so nice to see him overcome his trauma. I absolutely hate slow burns but it was worth waiting 80 chapters to hear “I love you”. I recommended this to EVERYBODY
